Amidst the Obama v. McCain madness, I think I'm more excited about the Peanuts Rocks the Vote initiative than I am about the real deal. Last time I checked, Snoopy had the lead. I would've voted for Woodstock if he were running, but my vote goes to Lucy. She's outspoken, opinionated and kinda bossy... a girl after my own heart:) Which Peanuts candidate has your vote?

It appears that Dolly Madison nemesis the Zinger Zapper is not the reformed beagle shilling for life insurance I thought he was. According to the New Zealand News, he's back in action in Malaysia. And he has a gang:

The newspaper said the thieves sped off in a getaway car with the bags, one of which contained mooncakes, a Chinese delicacy.

Actually, now that I think about it, I've heard other recent accounts of his recidivism. Keep an eye on your delicious snack cakes, folks.

We hit what’s left of Geauga Lake this past weekend to spend a day at the Wildwater Kingdom.

We hit what's left of Geauga Lake this past weekend to spend a day at the Wildwater Kingdom. I didn't feel very Holman in taking in a second water park in the same summer. Being in the water is just unnatural to me.

[caption id="attachment_90" align="alignright" width="300" caption="The girls at Geauga Lake"][/caption]

Maddy and Mo probably couldn't disagree more. They love it. Maddy loves it so much that I ended up on most of the thrill rides available (another unnatural Holman act) at these parks.

It was also great spending a day with our friends, the Kucharski's. I used to work with Dawn, and have really relished keeping in touch, as Dawn's family includes two little girls close in age to Maddy and Mo.

But anyways, back to me. I wore some sort of frogman shirt to avoid another inevitable burn. It wasn't designed for use as swim wear, so it came off pretty odd looking, or rather unnatural to those who happened to be in the park that day. Too bad for them, I guess. I wasn't going through that burn thing again.

Some crazy slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river later, we thanked Snoopy and "WoodScott" as Maura called him, and headed on our way. Mo was "dead weight" in my arms on the way back to the car.

I finished the day off with a slider bucket and a pint at Doogan's in Aurora.

It was another picture perfect August weather weekend in northeast Ohio- why do we ever travel in the summer?

It looks as if the security perimeter around next week's Republican National Convention (RNC) is going to make St. Paul's Excel Energy Center about as publicly accessible as China’s Forbidden City during the Ming Dynasty.

So how are blue bywatchers to know when the Red Man Group arrives in our fair city? A few clues:

•	Festive Bush and Cheney figurines replace Snoopy and Charlie Brown on streets.
•	Airport men’s room sounds like rehearsal for Riverdance.
•	McCain offshore drilling proposal expanded to include 10,000 lakes.
•	Stretch helicopters brought in to ferry delegates over Pawlenty’s unfunded bridges.
•	Electric Fetus targeted for Operation Rescue protest.
•	“Mission Accomplished” banner hoisted outside Deja Vu.
•	Mickey’s adds foie gras to menu.
•	Rove holds press conference to deny leaking location of Winter Carnival medallion.
•	Pawlenty actually stays in Minnesota for a couple days.

If one or more of those things happen, there’s a good chance our conservative comrades have arrived.

Another writing exercise on Evil Editor's blog: 'The task was to write a scene in which Evil Editor has been administered a truth serum.'

"Waiter!" Evil Editor waved his Snoopy mug at the barista. "Another cuppa joe."

An ordinary-looking man handed Evil Editor a fresh mug of coffee. "I'm here to interview you. You must feel honored to be nominated as one of Gawker's Hotties In Publishing. What's it like to know that minions swoon every time you eviscerate their queries?"

Evil Editor gulped his coffee. "I'd trade every minion on the net for a single citation in a scholarly journal. I could out-deconstruct Derrida, given half a freaking chance! Why can't someone delineate how my blog conjoins the hermeneutical paradigm of subsemiotic reliance on the other? Instead I get moles. No one takes moles seriously!"

The man nodded. "Is it true that your falling-out with Grisham was the result of a passionate love affair that ended when he dumped you for an intern at the new HarperCollins imprint?"

Evil Editor took another swig. "We had a meeting of minds! He has deeper insight into the hidden cellars of the human soul than Plato, Nietzsche, and Destiny's Child combined. I left him in despair that I'd never match his intellectual acumen. Grisham, mon ami, mon frere!” Evil Editor wept.

"I understand you have the knowledge to halt global warming. Could you share that with us?"

Evil Editor stared in horror at the mug he was about to raise to his lips. "What is this slop I’m drinking?"

"Kopi Luwak. The most expensive coffee in the world. I hoped it would act as a truth serum, allowing your inner intellectual to emerge."

Raising his arm to dash the cup to the floor, Evil Editor suddenly relented. "I guess you’re right. Coffee that's been digested through the intestines of a civet can't be any worse than the slush waiting for me back at the office."

I'm not happy about the last line - I like it, but it doesn't really act as a twist back to anything that happened earlier. Still, I was pushing the deadline, and people enjoyed it.

Me and Shaaz was walking to Rolla from Mega Mall.

"You know I'm still telling you, that Lebanese girl seriously kept on gazing at me. Doesn't she look like Shakira?. Dude, you know I'm not lying. Seriously, I'm not. I'M NOT LYING!!!."

Shaaz have been repeating these sentences for the last half an hour through various different ways as possible. There were only very few occasions were he loses his marbles. Falling in love with an anonymous Lebanese Shakira look-alike was one of them.

Honestly, I thought she looked like anything but Shakira. The girl we saw had a face, body and legs which were beautiful, normal and ugly respectively. So I thought she didn't look particularly like any Celebrity. Not Shaaz though.

"Will you drop it, Shaaz? I've had enough. Do you mind keeping up? We need to get to Rolla before the movie starts.", I said. I've honestly had enough.

"You're just jealous, dude.", he said with a smirk I never liked.

"For what?", I stammered back.

"Didn't you notice how she was staring at a brother?", he said drawing himself up.

"What's this rubbish? She didn't even looked at you!", I laughed it off.

"As I said, you're just jealous, Shahbaz... I'm tall, fair, athletic and handsome while you're short, dark, out of shape and third world ugly"

Well, I was lost for words sure. But third-world-ugly?. Am I so deep down the pits? I know I'm shorter than what my age requires, darker than anyone in my family and definitely what you call out of shape. But third world ugly?.

Shaaz was 2 years younger than me and around 4 inches taller than me.(How could this happen???) We're best friends for years now. Ofcourse his body is athleticly built, he was quite fair, and tall enough.

I know I've got a better tongue than him though. But I would be lost for words when I'm emotionally hurt. But having build the rapport, I decided to give a comeback.

"I'm not third world ugly. Women think I'm cute..."

I saw a snoopy tattoo on the arms of a lady passing by.

"...like Snoopy.", I said defensively with an example.

"Well, Shahbaz... Snoopy is like six inches taller than you are." he said

I looked at him fiercely. He was staring at me fiercely as well. We sized each other up and then... we both blurted out laughing at the same time. Some things... Never change...

Well.. Helllooo there!!!

My hooman has been kind of busy with work lately. Well, we've been busy trying to destroy every single toy we own. :-)

Anyway, just some time back, this happened to me and Rusty. I didn't know that this happened... :-P

I actually went into Rusty's cage to grab something....

Hooman: You were trying to get his bone... -_-"

Then, I didn't realize that I was locked in his cage!! Rusty was somehow let into his cage as well without my knowledge. All I knew was, if he intends to get the bone, fat chance!! THAT BONE IS MINE!!!

I went on my merry little way, gnawing at his bone. Yeah, yeah, Rusty has his "please help me" look but who cares? Kekekee..

Rusty: I thought Prison Break was about 1 sibling helping another???

I walked out of the student union today into the late-afternoon sunlight shrouded by clouds. As I passed landmarks and the surroundings of the path, I noticed for the first time in my life, that the world was a place that lacked contrast; perhaps it was just the cloud cover and the shade. My eyes wandered to a shrub with untrimmed branches, its pale green leaves stuck out. I couldn't help but to bend down for a second to notice the detail in those leaves while my mind tried to analyze the colors like the histogram on a camera, bionic eyes?

I began walking again, this time it was the tree tops and the elaborate curves of the treetops that seemed to come out at me. This evening, they seemed sad and silent in their desaturated state and without the usual Bowling Green winds to sway them around. And then I wondered how its small things that change our world, though we would always like to see the big picture.

I was reminded about the situation in the country of Georgia, and with Russia. I knew a girl from Georgia, a wonderful pianist who goes to our university. For her, she is lucky to be here and not there, but for her is an ongoing fear of her family's safely and for her mother's health in the time of war. Georgians as it seems must have had many of these days following the Russian invasion, looking out across the world that was once theirs, a place where they had spent the majority of their lives, in ruins. I can't imagine what they feel waking up each morning as if they are homeless. To feel the cool morning air and to look across a dull greyish-green landscape; to see the innocent dead tended to, and the mourning of those who wished they were dead. The men stayed behind to protect and care for those who could not escape to safety, ho did they feel? They must have looked up like I did wondering where their wives were, and whether they had evaded Russian convoys. It bothers me that Russia would deliberately fire barrage after barrage upon Georgian Villages, killing those who never did anything to harm anyone or their Russian neighbors. What had they done to deserve death, these men, women, and children? The Russians moved in their SS-21 short range missiles yesterday, seems like they are dividing the country in half. Judging by the distance of these missiles, I believe Russia will push their military might against the capital, perhaps they will wreck havoc from 74 miles away, lets hope that doesn't happen, and for the better lets hope that those warheads are not chemically tipped. But who knows?

As crazy as it seems, I wish I was one of the three photographers who went over to Georgia. Not that its exciting, not that its even for the matter of seeing combat and recording it. No, had I the chance, I would fly over there right now, so that I could run with the people, so I could understand their pain and so that I could tell a story of them. I would come to them in all humbleness to tell them that the world is listening.

It seems as if I've always been fascinated the military and the study of air and space mainly with the Air Force. From an early age I had been interested in airplanes, transformers and legos. Once when I was young, I stole a whole bunch of cardstock cutouts for space shuttles from the library because I wanted to build a whole fleet of space shuttles. I was fascinated by the fluid dynamics and the sciences involved, had I a better mind for engineering I would have become a aerospace engineer; I almost decided to go to college for that, but then it was music, and finally it was something that I never imagined but grew quickly on me. In my childhood, I remembered reading books about the dogfights between Messerschmitts and Spitfires and the Air Raids over London, and the British reply of firestorms over Dresden and Hamburg. I always loved when Snoopy would have his dogfights with the Red Baron, and how Charles Schultz showed the romanticism of the fight in the imagination of the beagle. "All roads to glory lead but to the grave." I enjoyed all the times when Snoopy was depicted as that World War I flying ace character in the comics, and how his character evolved with the times.

Snoopy's Dogfight --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNremK0cBEg

As I grew older transformers and legos transformed into an interest of World War II, the Cold War, the dawn of the Nuclear era, and the evolution of fighter jets and advances in modern combat. Russian jets have always held place in my favorites for their unique designs such as displayed in the Su-33 or its counterpart the Su-27's. The people who engineered fighter jets must have put as much care into designing and building them to be sophisticated as Lamborguini's are. Could you just imagine being in their shoes, building something that lasts some 30 years in national defense and war. My interest grew to learning about spy planes and the X Projects, and then it was finally NASA. I have always been inspired by space, possibly because something so simple to our eyes took millions of years to produce, and then there is all the complex theories of time shift and dimensions which make it all the better, a mystery of nature, but simply breathtaking. I wish I knew the constellation better, and there are nights when I wish I had a nice lawn to stargaze on. Someday, I think I'll find a way to space to bring my experiences to a new level and to to shoot the "BIG" picture so to say. Just wait, there will be consumer affordable traveling within the next 5 years, though I can imagine that it won't be for the light of heart. But imagine for a second being in the shoes of the scientists who helped in the development of the Mercury project, the Atlas projects, the space shuttle and the ISS. How did John Glenn, or the other astronauts feel when they first experienced zero gravity and nothing but the stars?

If any of you have ever read the words of Jules Verne, you will know that his stories written in the 1800's captured our technological future. I can still remember sitting in the dining room of my parents' restaurant one day (this as quite rare) during the slow afternoon hours. I had just picked up an 8 novel compilation on Verne's work from the Mansfield Public Library. In one day, I read all 8 novels, I guess I was that into it. Everyone knows his book "Around the World in 80 Days", especially after the cooky movie that was based on it. My my favorite was "From the Earth to the Moon; and Round the Moon", a story of man's travel beyond the limits of earth and the atmosphere. Anyways side memory.

Oddly I have always been fascinated by nukes and h-bombs; its unfortunate that the power of these weapons has fallen into the wrong hands. Russia again was a source of fascination for me, developing ridiculous long rangers ICBMs... 50 megaton h-bombs, and it all started with salvaging a German rocket. From Sputnik to the Race for Space. Reading through these documents, I can understand how Americans could have felt during this time. No joke... something that can destroy everything within a 40mi radius, and within a matter of seconds, releasing a mass of energy of unfathomable heat and radiation enough to blind people and turn a pleasant environment into a carcinogenic hell. I wonder how the people who built the nuke felt, or those who handled the material. It stands to reason that they might have been madmen, but perhaps there was a different story, where there was a gun to their heads.

Anyhow. Its been quite a busy week, as this post has taken me three days to finish. So once again, I'm going to finish up some more work, and hit the hay.

Primeira tira do Calvin:

Calvin e Hobbes foi uma tira de grande sucesso no mundo todo, ganhando vários prêmios e com publicações em mais de 2000 jornais. Após várias tentativas de parada, Watterson parou de desenha-la em dezembro de 1995.

Ambas retiradas do blog Depósito do Calvin.

Garfield

Well, it is official, I am the mom of 7 year olds. The girls thought their birthday would never get

Well, it is official, I am the mom of 7 year olds. The girls thought their birthday would never get here. I couldn't believe how quickly it came. I almost wasn't prepared. The present shopping was the hardest. Trying to get stuff to please both kids, yet remain fair, since it is quantity not quality that matters to kids.

We spread the birthday celebration over several days. Mostly, so my husband could participate in at least some of it (he is working a lot). As a family fun/girls birthday treat, we took the girls to the Zoo Ala Carte on Thur night.

The Zoo ala Carte is an awesome fundraiser that allows you to sample various resturants, listen to music and see the animals. We had a blast. The kids always enjoy going to the zoo in the evening, it makes them feel grown up.

We were smart this year, packed a supper of sandwiches (what else?) for the kids. That way we could buy only "big kid" food. Of course, the smoothie I got I had to share, same with the watermelon and my husbands nachos...so basically, we got about two bites of everything by the time the kids were done.

After the zoo it was time to go home and bring out the birthday cake for the girls. They chose the girliest cake in the world, a My Little Pony cake. They got to pick it up Thursday, with their dad. All day Wednesday they worried whether their dad was qualified to pick up the cake.

They were so certain he would forget. I told them to relax, they were there to remind their dad to get the cake. I notice he got it as early as he could from the bakery, probably driven to do this by the relentless nagging.

I tried to keep it affordable by getting only and 8" round cake, but alas that still set me back $20. The bakery lady couldn't believe I didn't want anything but the pony on the cake (as if it needed anything else on it). I did spring for two layers. Consequently, the thing was HEAVY.

When I came home, it was in the fridge all 8" of airbrushed perfection, a giant purple horse and loads of pink frosting doo dads all over it. The girls were in heaven. It was the first thing they told me when I got out of the car-the cake is here, the cake is here!

We had two #7 candles (guaranteed no fighting). Of course, small brother wanted to know why he didn't get a candle to blow out. Sigh, why didn't I get him a candle to blow out? I don't know temporary insanity? He pointed out that the girls helped him blow out his candles, why couldn't he help them? A valid question. The girls chimed in that he WAS ONLY 5 and still required help, they being 7 did not.

After singing and blowing out the candles each kid ate about two bites of the cake and then ran off to play, thus leaving me with about 7.5 inches of cake. It was your typical dry grocery store bakery cake. So it didn't really interest me (thank god or I would've ate all 7.5 inches of it).

I tortured them by making them wait until their exact birthday to open their gifts. Hey, my mom always makes me wait (and mine is worse being a leap year baby). So, I figured what the heck I would do it too.

They got such a haul. Clothes, Polly Pockets, My Little Ponies, Littlest Pet Shop. MY GOD! It looked like a toy store exploded in my living room.

They also received talking, counting piggy banks. They are the only ones thrilled by this, why? Because, the pig talks every single time a coin is put in. A repetition of 5 stock phrases. I fear the pigs may meet with a bad end (a girls can only stand so much).

As these pigs are made in China, they are plastic and they don't work perfect. Occasionally, it mixes up the coin amounts. Which makes the girls mad, thus they have to empty the pig and start over-again and again.

On their birthday we went to a giant outdoor rummage sale. The girls came packing cash to spend. And spend it they did. They ran through about $5 each and got a ton of stuff. Mostly, horse related items. Somewhere N developed a horse fetish. A did get a notebook and a purple hippo. Both girls scored HUGE purple Pegasus (good spotting grandma). The Pegasus are pretty darn cute! Twins just the girls. Which impressed the girls to no end. Of course, you cant tell the damn things apart and just this morning they were arguing about whose horse was whose.

I found a brand new stuffed Snoopy, to replace the Snoopy that A stole from me. Poor, old raggedy Snoopy. He has been through many adventures and it shows. He is grubby (though washed repeatedly) and his head droops (he has been stitched up). If you put the two Snoopys side by side it is like Snoopy and Anti Snoopy. A was eyeing the new Snoopy up. "Mom" she says, "Isn't he so white? And his ears are so soft". As she is saying this she is stroking Snoopys ear. Uh huh how long before new Snoopy goes missing?

The week of mugging is upon us, people mugging like hell during breaks, lectures being quite empty and tutorials with almost half the class disappearing.

I know, 8 days without an update is a phenomenon indeed. Everyone's asking for an update, so here is a slightly long but boring update. More words, less pictures. I guess there is not much people in a mood for photos. Due to mugging sessions, this post will take a few days to complete.

Due to mugging sessions, blog views have also decreased significantly. Being a Singaporean, transparency is something we should encourage. Here's something very private but I still showcase!

Yes, all the way down!

WARNING: THE MOST WORDY AND DETAILED POST EVER. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. BOREDOM MIGHT CONSUME YOU. A total of Three Thousand And Sixty Words Long!

Lectures, let's talk about the lectures. Topics are 100% taught, students have nothing much more to learn, students get restless and some lecturers stop taking attendance and students like us, get crazy in lecture.

We found out that people such as Angela and Junyu are as crazy as us too! Guess what, Angela was like teaching us the History of vietnam to jerry and I. Angela will use her "You very irritating leh" whenever I say crazy things like " How to say Hi in Vietnamese". For one of the lectures, Jerry borrowed Junyu's "Pearls of the Ocean" and did some chanting thing. Yes, he did it for the whole lecture. Like what Junyu said, he did it for extra protection for the Hungry Ghost Festival.

OMFG, notice jinling and rebecca playing like KIDS, ROFL@THEM..

Jerry's gay hand, there was a red star in the mint box thingy, whoever did that, seriously please own up. If I remember correctly, suspects will include angela, junyu, her friend, kaming, daryl, seng and sam? Oh, bekka and jinling too. I almost choked on the red star.

Hell i look emo but no, its an effect on Sheena's handphone, she did one too but permission wasn't allowed to be sent let alone post it.

Then, Jerry, Sheena and I sort of went all the way to Main Library to mug a little. I forgot when is it but I think it's on Thursday. It was the day we were addicted to the song "Apologize". From the biz blocks all the way to Mcdonals, we were doing the retarded Timbaland's background singing thingy. We were thinking how effing retarded he was when he name it Apologize(Featuring One Republic). The whole song was practically sung by One Republic not him, what he contributed was the moaning at the back. His MTV is worse, showing off while doing that moaning thing. Like what the rest says "Timbaland Owns Himself".

Alright, as usual, we made fun of timbaland all the way to the library, found a little spot at Quiet Zone and started to "mug". It was successful while it lasted. Until both of them broke down.

Heena dozed off while I borrow her notes to copy, just a few lines of crap.

Jerry dead too.(sorry didn't ask permission :()

We swore not to return to that area again because of one big reason :

WE CAN'T FREAKING TALK.

Everyone there was as quiet as a mute. Sheena was wondering what would happen if someone farted, wouldn't that person be totally exposed? Too bad for us, we had to control our voices, laughter, burps and farts. We had to sing without our voices, depending on the non-verbal facial expression to convey messages lest the rest of the "mutees" stare at us.

One more thing about the library, the first level stinks like no body's business. Too many books I guess.

We then went back and do the usual stuff, a Lecture I think.

On Friday, here comes the real deal. I came at 10 and saw only Lynette, Yanling and Jerry.

Is this like the most LONELY day or what? I guess everyone's at home mugging.

We ate, Sheena ate my leftovers, LOL. Lynette love to stress that point so much, LEFTOEVERS. Yes, I was unable to finish the food, and because there was so much things left on the plate, I offered sheena the hungry to eat it. Free food, now who the hell will reject it? We're in the middle of the Food Cost Crisis! The plate of rice I bought costs $4.70! Yes, to FC6ers its the damn Mediterranean Food.

Jerry and Yanling went to FC6 to photocopy some stuff. We called Jerry and he didn't pick up the phone. Lynette, Sheena and I decided to go Moberly for some great mugging session but was afraid Jerry didn't know. We smsed him and made our way there. As usual, the car was an oven of death. Thanks to the sun.

When we arrived there, we saw Jerry's van, we were surprised why it was there. We then made our way to Moberly but unfortunately, it's closed. It was 10 minutes until opening hours. So we camped outside the Moberly, which we use the word "Foresty" to describe because it was so not Singapore. There was trees, plants, flowers everywhere. Lynette and Sheena then went to clear the table using tissue papers, lots of them, significant efforts was put into making it a good place to study. For 10 minutes, the wind was inconsistent. As girls, they were pissed as it made their hair messy. As a guy, I loved the wind because it reduced the temperature, I was as usual, perspiring like hell. We then went up and checked for seats and to our surprised, it was FULL. Like wtf? It was full of laptops on the table, freaks playing computer games or something. So we went back to our forest.

We went back to the seats and made ourself confortable. Now, we seriously need the wind to come. We found a little secret of the wind. Whenever the wind stop blowing, all Lynette have to do was to complain about the bloody heat and there you go,free wind. We also have ants problem. It was irritating. Jerry came and then we decided to go Main Library.

We seperated into two groups and there we go, a little convoy all the way to Business library. Lynette was like wanting me to park under the shades, fortunately we found one. Jerry have to find a good spot. I and Lynette walked all the way to the Main Library to find that IT IS BLOODY CLOSED??! The staff have like a National Day meeting and its set to open only at 2pm. Thanks for that.

We then decided to go to Starbucks at Holland Village, even though we only have an hour left. Lynette then suggested a nice place to park, it was somewhere near the back. Then there was like an old chair blocking the back, Lynette and Sheena wanted to get off the car and move it but I insisted it was not of a big problem, in a nutshell, JUST LEAVE IT THERE! As expected, the chair was like 0.1mm away from my wheel, this is what I call, pure precision.

We went to Starbucks, got some drinks and it was great, the best place to study is now Starbucks. Too bad they have the Please Do Not Study During Peak Periods rule. I bought Vanilla and they were like wtf why you buy Vanilla, they said it wasted like milk. But, I love milk :)

After 15 mins or so, we went back to school. It was redundant but nice exploratory experience. I had to sit for my Gems test so did Lynette. Sheena wasn't in a rush, so she deelidaleed.

Gems test was retarded, copied and paste from the notes, did junior calculations and off I go.Since Sheen was also concidentally done after that, then we went uphill to FC6, Jerry came along. To our surprise, there was 0 parking slots left. The bloody carpark was exceptionally full. It was ironic, so less people yet so many cars. I can't even park illegally because most of the illegal slots were taken up! So, Jerry came and he was also hit by the problem. At first he haolianed "My van very small can find one lah". Then he went one big round and back he came, I told him "My car smaller than yours also cannot park leh, OWNED". He then parked near FC4. I parked even more illegally.

We went to MR and it was the last lecture ever! After that we ate at FC6 for awhile and went to Moberly to mug. It was 50% successful and 50% a failure.

While we were there, I think we laughed more than we muted(shit, after sam kept asking me to mute, this word seem to substitute STFU). Highlights were Jerry's nightwatch friend, Up Yours(I'm Yours) and 7 Things, I think. We kept making fun of things. Sheena almost cried and Jerry's mature laughter seem to be uncontrollable. I myself cried a little. Sheena even asked why I cried. One of the crap I made seem to make everyone went crazy, I think it've got to do with "I'm sorry I went ___ ____ last night" or something like that.

Sheena paniced and went off. In the car, 7 things was the best song to listen. Wtf, they call me pedophile just because I listen to Miley Cyrus and Vannessa Hudgens. I think Sheena said I love the Disney Bitches or something like that. I disagree. I just like their songs!!!

Like what's so pedophilish about her?

Then I went back to Moberly and carried on mugging. At that time It was only Jerry and I, though we were seriously wanting to study, there was lots of laughter as well which I have no idea why.

After 30mins or so, we made our way to King Albert Park McDonalds. It was a funny ride. At first I told Jerry to follow my lead as I have the GPS, then he sort of stunned for a minute or two thinking how to arrive at the destination. He said he know and told me to drive there myself while he figures out a route there. Oh well, I followed him but at the same time relied on my GPS. On the way there, we were on the road and I have to ask him a question, I unwinded the side window and he did too, while asking him the question the bloody traffic lights turned green and the bloody cars behind horned him. So Jerry sort of showed the finger and drove off. It was a funny experience but it's very hard to describe the scene. Oh well, worth mentioning.

When we arrived at King Albert Park, we saw the sign "First Hour Free, Subsequent parking costs $1.60". I was like OMFG? Did we mentioned that we are about to chiong overnight here? Yes we did.

We then settled down at Mcdonalds. We were quite shocked to see that the Mcdonalds was quite packed, it was around 9 at that time I think. I believe the crowd were those from Ngee Ann Poly. We bought some food and had a nice and funny chat about everything under the sun.

15 minutes later, Sam came and settled down too. I was surprised when she bought the KIDS meal, like omg? She's like a small kid when she opened up the toy and played with it!

Then we were studying seriously for 1-2 hours I think, I'm not very sure how long we went into serious mood but I think Jerry started laughing like hell after playing with my handphone's dictionary. After that, it was pure relaxing and slacking.

I then went to buy icecream with Sam and she tried to order "Ice Cream Cone without the Ice Cream". The person who recieved the order, also the supervisor or something went silent and gave a wierd face never seen before, he must be thinking "Err, Ice Cream without Ice Cream... This girl must be....". That might be the case, then Sam got scared and ordered a normal cone. I ordered a Plain Sundae, like what's so wierd about it. Yes, it's plain VANILLA, holy yes my favourite. Sam called me crazy because it is practically a $2 ice cream cone, with a cup.

When we went back to our seats, guess what? She put all the icecream onto my sundae like WTF? She mixed $0.50 icecream with $2.00 ice cream, what you get is a mixed icecream that tastes wierd. I know this makes no sense because both of them are Mcdonalds icecream but.....

She's like so satisfied after screwing up the icecream.
Her face in this picture is kind of ____.
I have no idea why it was framed this way, honest..

From this point of time onwards, there's totally no STUDIOUS mood left. All of us started talking, sam started to vandalize the notes, mess up my wallet then jerry started to go crazy like talking wierd stuff. Oh, something worth mentioning is that sam's IC face is........omgish. I feel like posting but oh well, sensitive issue :(

I forgot what happpened after that, most likely crap talking. At about 12.30am or so Jerry sort of went off. I think he don't want to bear the bloody expensive parking charges and he's exhausted too I guess.

What happens after that was pure funnage, it was time to explore Singapore. Sam was like the usual, "Are you serious?". YES I AM SERIOUS. At first we have nowhere to go, then Orchard came into our mind, but as usual as her paramomia goes, she asked which shops are open at this time?! Who the hell says we're going shopping?! So we chionged to Orchard, I have to pick sis up there anyway. On the way there, I had an urge to go to the toilet, not the big business but the small one. It was distracting, for that few minutes I've never felt so much hate for the traffic lights before. Traffic lights kept going red while my urgency kept getting worse and worse. Eventually my heart lead myself to Centre Point. We parked the car there for a while and I ran to the toilet. Seems like the toilet is the best place to be in the world when nature calls. Then after that, Sam got crazy, she wanted to DRIVE! Not really drive actually, but she wanted control of the steering wheel. K lor, Ient her the sterring wheel and hell she sucked at driving! LOL!

At first our next destination was errr, Clarke Quay? But my sister called and say I can fetch her already, so I U-turned around cathay and waited for her at Centrepoint. After that we made our way to Mcdonald drive-thru at Ang Moh kio. Sam said she have never been to Ang Mo Kio before, like what the? Oh well, it's so damn far from her "area" just like how alien the MUG area is. Sis bought fillet o fish meal. After collecting the fish burger and stuff, I drove off and Sis said there is no drink and no free olympic cup thing. Went back to get it and the person said I drove off too quickly, LOL!

I then made my way home after that, it was a long ride, and I didn't know the distance between Mcdonalds and home is that far. When we reached home Snoopy is already asleep but we woke him up because we have a guest and there was a competiton going on, who's cuter? Snoopy or CoCo? Then sam was like IN LOVE with snoopy and vice versa. It's a wierd thing that Snoopy didn't bark at her. I think because she have the dog smell or something. Snoopy was like very very high, never seen him that high except before that time he wanted Jerry to do it with him,LOL! Bid goodbye to sis and snoopy and next destination, CLARKE QUAY.

Awwwww, how can you leave him there alone?

The ride there was rediculously long, I think I missed a turn or something, THANK GOD FOR GPS! Sam doesn't have a sense of direction too.

Was almost lost but we found Central waiting for us. It was a scary process to park the car, the 5 storeys of spiral dealt serious injury to my mental state. By the time we reached the top, I was totally dizzy but still managable. When we saw a car leaving, we knew we were crazy. People are leaving and we're entering. It was like 3.30 at that time!!!!

Parked the car and went all the way down. It was like ghost town. Except for some clubber people loitering around and some wierd people sitting by the river, on the floor. Walked all the way to somewhere in front of the skyline, too bad the lights are not turned on, if not it will be a spectacular sight to behold! So we sat there for an unimaginable amount of time till 5 and HOME SWEET HOME.

The drive home was.....Pathetic. My eyes can barely open, was too lazy to bathe and went to sleep, Dirty I know but........ I can barely move!

And I slept till 2.30pm, ha!

On Saturday, it was National Day. As I mentioned I slept till 2.30, what happens after that was purely random. I watched TV and waited for the national day celebration to begin. People kept complaining oh, its the same every year and things like this but I disagree, like how different can things be? But I do agree those kids performance crap were terrible. Loved the fireworks and aerial stuff. We then have dinner at the relocated cantonese restaurant after that.

It was nice, we had a private room like wow, I thought those were only available in HK as seen from those dramas.

We talked and eat and talk and eat and talk and eat. It was fabulous, the had the BEST PRAWN EVER I SWEAR. This is the first time we've tried the prawns, totally blasted me away. Too bad it tasted wierd after a while :(

Jamie didn't like shark fin so I had an extra bowl, omg nice.

Jamie

Sharkfin

Didn't have chance to take much photos because we were eating away, I think we have some photos in Sis phone, might upload in the future, cya!

THE LONGEST POST EVER!!

Gonna Update on other stuff soon! Cya! Bye!

Snoopy the beloved icon of our youth. "Joe Cool" himself.

He is a virtuoso at every endeavor- at least in his daydreams atop his doghouse. He regards his master, Charlie Brown, as "that round-headed kid" who brings him his supper dish -"Official Peanuts website"

Thinking about this and visualizing the Snoopy atop his roof of his doghouse I could not stop myself from thinking of the corelation between Snoopy and his master, "that round-headed kid" and my own little peanut Jacob Saltzman and myself, Daddy Salt

For me Charlie Brown and his gang of lovable losers played such an important role in my childhood besides the usual "Back to the Future Movies", "Guns N Roses", being a "Hulkamaniac" and watching "Different Strokes".

Maybe i just liked the way the characters were drawn, and the way the stories were told?

If you look at the picture on top this was the way Jacob was sleeping for the first 3 months.

On his back like a turtle with his arms over his head.

In his eyes I was "that round-headed kid" who brings him his bottle dish when he woke up. This worked eventually over time. His sleeping habits improved, and the crying lessened to a degree. Then one night last week, the peanut woke up at 2 in the morning crying. When Jennifer went to check up on him she saw the peanut turned over on his side, trying to stick his whole fist into his mouth.

So the little guy has moved on to sleeping on his side like the rest of the humans. But alas, this has not been perfected and what happens is he rolls over and wakes himself up. Then he thinks he is hungry and goes for the whole hand. This sets off a chain of events and the peanut is back to waking up in the middle of the night, crying, and wanting his "round-headed kid".

And of course he is going to get what he wants.

How can we let the lil guy cry?

But the hours he keeps! I swear he is up later then most babies. The peanut is going strong at 11:00 at night. What is he in college, hanging out in the dorms? Yesterday Jen told me that he didn't wake up until 10:30am and that is because she felt like he needed to wake up! I guess he is like his Daddy.

In my hay day, big I.R.A would open my door in the morning around 11am and told me I slept long enough. (Worst feeling ever) Sometimes it would be 1-130pm and my eyes would just open. Though as a kid i was up at 8;00am, downstairs with my coco puffs, watching the Smurfs, and the Snorks on CBS.

I'm sure Jacob will master the art of sleeping on his side soon. Hopefully...then we can get some more sleep until the teething process starts.

I heard that's a beaut!
